I used to have a return visit that I managed to coax along to a PT. He was a Born Again Christian and on a RT after the PT he asked me "If Jesus was to return to earth where would he go to worship his father?" That got me thinking and I came to the conclusion he wouldn't go to a kingdom hall.

Could someone help me with a couple of watchtower quotes.
by mtbatoon incould someone help me with a couple of watchtower quotes i'd like to have as a standby should i need them.
the situation is that my mother recently sent me a copy of the watchtower as it had a family reference.
though i have summed up all my thoughts on the subject as a non committal grunt, if the subject reoccurs i would like to be better prepared.

Re dobbing him in for associating with df'd people... The Elders will see you as a worldly person and they wont take you at your word, they tend only to believe Dubs in JC matters. Also they need another witness (Two witnesses) that's seen him associating with DF'd people before they will do anything.
However, I don't think they'll want it getting out that the PO's son is being a bum dad to his kids as that will reflect badly upon Jehovahs name and the congregation as a whole.

He got the impression the Society was right about apostates after all and decided to get back active again - after approx. seven years. He went to a different nearby congregation and learnt that recently the elder who attacked the pioneer got DF for adultery and the famous, influential elder got a stroke and cannot speak anymore.
Oh no, now that this has happened and hes been "blessed" with a BS there's no way you are going to be able to stop him. With him thinking that Jehoovah is on his side it'll be like trying to stop a rampaging Elephant with a pee shooter.
Your dad sounds a bit fiery though and easily stumbled. Give it a while and one of those bastard dubs will piss him off again and when the bastard dub that upsets him isn't struck down by lightning there and then on the spot your dad will probably run off and leave again.
